Lottoland’s Win-Win Charity Lotto and Scratchcard supporting PWSA UK

The Lotto has so far raised more than £10,000 for PWSA UK, thanks to YOUR support!

Since April 2021, Lottoland has been proudly supporting the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association UK (PWSA UK), through its Win-Win Charity Lotto and Scratchcard.

Here, Lottoland’s CEO, Nigel Birrell, explains why the company chose to support us, what the game is and how people can get involved.

“PWSA UK is a charity close to my heart and I have long been a supporter of the amazing work you do. I first heard about the charity in early 2016 when my first grandchild Oliver was diagnosed with PWS. Ollie was born three months prematurely and was a very poorly boy at that time anyway due to being so premature - you can imagine the shock when PWS was added to his challenges. We were alerted to the support that the PWSA UK provide, and the information and experiences of other families was of particular welcome assistance at that moment to our family. PWS and the charity are not that well known so I jumped at the opportunity to support it when my colleagues were discussing which charities we should back.

“We launched the Win-Win Charity Lotto in May 2020, and I was thrilled that less than a year later we were able to onboard PWSA UK. The game format and results are based on the popular French Lotto, with draws taking place every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Five balls are drawn out of a total of 49, with 10 bonus balls up for grabs.

“Each bet on the Win-Win Charity Lotto costs £1 and the jackpot is fixed at £250,000 for every draw. 20p of every pound bet is donated to our chosen UK charities of which PWSA UK is one.

"In July 2021, we added the Win-Win Charity Scratchcard to our portfolio. The scratchcard has a top prize available of £50,000 and again 20p of every £1 staked goes to our chosen UK charities.

“So far, we have raised over £10,000 for the charity and look forward, with the support of our players, to raising more funds so we can continue to support the vital work that you do to find strategies and treatments to help those with PWS."

Further information on the Win-Win Charity lotto game can be found here, while information on the scratchcard can be found here. Alternatively, the Lottoland app can be downloaded from the app stores on both Apple and Android.

Thank you to everyone who has played so far - your support has made a real difference to the vital work we do with our amazing community!
